Usually I’m the one who writes a little reflection about the weddings we share, but it would only pale in comparison to the words our sweet bride Michelle had to say:
“What a glorious day in May! Our ceremony and reception were both held at the 114 year old country club where Sam and his brothers grew up working. The setting was lush and green, with all of the unique charm the venue had to offer. Large chandeliers, black and white checkered flooring, and ornate details all came to life when tied in with the bright pops of floral and gold. We could not have asked for more!
Our vision for the wedding was one that was relaxed and comfortable… I even wore flats! All of the bridesmaids picked out their own dresses in light neutral shades, and the groomsmen dressed in navy with their own unique and fun ties. Sam and I wanted everyone’s individual personality to shine through. We had the best morning getting ready, listening to music and sipping champagne, while the men spent the morning on the beautiful golf course.
The wedding day was full of light spring rain showers, but right before the ceremony took place on the upper patio, the skies opened up, and the sun shone through for all of our guests. I had always wanted to get married outside, so I wasn’t going to let a little rain stop that. Our reception was full of fun dance parties, lovely toasts, yummy dessert treats, and loads of laughter. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a single thing.”
