DIY Baseball Bachelorette Party

From Miss to Mrs

DIY Baseball Bachelorette Party - Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events, St. Louis, MO

My sweet friend Ariel is marrying her love DJ later this fall, and this past weekend I had the honor of celebrating her bachelorette party with some of our closest friends! Before guests arrived we hopped on Facebook Live (you can catch the replay down below!) to give everyone a little behind the scenes tour of the party. As promised, today I’m sharing images plus the sources for everything we made so you can plan your own DIY Baseball Bachelorette Party!

Ariel is a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan, so the theme of “Last Swing Before the Ring” was an absolute no-brainer. We started the night by greeting each lady with their own gift bag full of goodies, including a Cardinals “Team Bride” shirt, Team Bride sunglasses and Cardinals hair ties.

Cardinal’s shirt: Old Navy

Iron on letters: Hobby Lobby

Fold Over elastic: KCElastic

No bachelorette party is complete without embarrassing games, but I think we found a middle ground that kept everyone happy! First we played a mashup of Louisville Chugger meets pin the tail on the donkey. Each lady was blindfolded, spun around with her head on the baseball bat 3 times, and then had to blindly find the “McDreamy” poster to kiss. It was hilarious to watch! Next we played Cads About Matrimony. It was a last minute Amazon Prime purchase and I’m so glad I did! Everyone was rolling on the floor laughing from the ridiculous answers and I know we will keep this around to play with other friends.

After last weekend my new favorite version of tailgating is in the AC! Our fun dinner spread included red and chevron paper products from Party City and adorable hot dog sleeves from Creative Express. I made a large batch of gin bucket for the drink dispensers and snagged red straws from Hobby Lobby. My favorite detail of the night was the drink labels, an idea I will definitely use at future parties. 2.5″ round labels ran through the printer with a cute calligraphy font, and I drew on the baseball stitches with a red Sharpie. Perfection!

Last, but certainly not least, was the selfie station! Call us #basic, but it was a huge hit! I spotted this backdrop tutorial on Pinterest and couldn’t resist the urge to recreate it. It actually turned out to be a super easy project, and Spencer even helped me cut the crape paper while watching the Olympics! After it was fringed I simply taped it to the top of by backdrop frame, spun it around, and gathered the extra on the floor. Easy and cute!

View the original tutorial from Oh Happy Day here, and purchase the extra wide crape paper from Paper Mart here.
