Everyone’s favorite drink can say a lot about their personality. Whether it’s a Bud Lite or a Moscow Mule, each drink has its unique flavors and style just like each Bride and Groom. Having a signature drink at your wedding can add an unexpected personal touch to your reception. It is a chance to add a wow factor to that first impression when your guests take their first step into your reception. If you are asking yourself, “Where do I start?”, here are some helpful hints on what to consider:
Alcohol – Start with your go-to drink; the drink that everyone knows is your favorite. If you and your significant other have different favorites, find a creative way to combine them! For example, if your go-to drink is sangria, and his is bourbon, try a Bourbon & White Wine Sangria!

Design – The design of the drink can be another way to add some signature flare to your welcome drink. Every detail, from the glass, to the color of the drink, to the straw, can tie into the theme of your wedding.
Flare – The added flare is my personal favorite. You can add flare by adding rosemary, an orange peel, or even custom pieces, such as calligraphy. Another fun option that doubles as a gift for your guests is a custom koozie. This is your chance to bring your style into the drink.
Signage – The most important part of having a signature drink is displaying it so your guests notice how special it is! Signage is the easiest way to showcase your drinks and there are plenty of creative ways to do so. Consider a chalk board or hand painted sign to add your personal touch.
